Faye's Birthday Party & UH Warrior Volleyball Senior Night, 2002

Before the volleyball game in question, we made some wonderful signs (they were pretty darn good considering we threw them together in only fifteen minutes at Faye's house and worked in discomfort in cars, benches, and the not-so-cramped Stan Sheriff Center seats. These signs were also pretty famous - they were broadcasted on TV four times that night! Some of the signs were also autographed by the volleyball team after the game, which is pretty trippy.

We made at least a dozen signs on this night, but I only scanned four of them. I was meaning to scan the other signs too, but I'm sure by now most of these signs don't exist anymore.

2002
	This was MY sign. Um, don't ask. I did the writing (poorly) while Steven traced it (and Nicole retraced it) and Steven drew the flower. The sign was pretty big and transporting the sign was a pain because it was so bulky. And don't mind the squares that you can see in the sign. I had to scan it and rescan it, and also scan each part of the sign individually because the sign was so durn huge.
	This was the sign everyone pitched in on, including the Warrior volleyball team. Heh, heh. On this sign me and Nicole wrote Happy Birthday Faye! several times. Then, everyone who came with us (well, all the students anyway) wrote messages to Faye on it. Uhhh parts of the sign got cut off so please read the notes I wrote on the sign, sorry. Note that the entire Warrior volleyball team signed the sign as well.
	This sign is the "OF" part of the "MEN OF WAR" sign that Nicole, Andrea, and Steven used during the game. I believe this sign (the "OF") was Nicole's sign. Anyway, the sign read "MEN OF WAR", which was one of the names that the Warrior volleyball team used to go by (it wasn't very popular so they dropped the name). You can see a picture of some of my friends holding this sign on the photos page.
	This sign, a product of Nicole Miyaji, was the evilest sign of the night. It reads, "Because You Ugly;" the phrase's initials matches the initials of the volleyball team UH was playing on this night: BYU, UH's longtime rival. When Hawaii was losing to BYU, Nicole joined the thousands of irritated fans that tried to basically boo BYU into a loss. Anyway, I didn't think the sign was a very good idea but of course Nicole never listens to me so oh well.
