The owner of this site, Jordon Higa, has drafted this "Privacy Policy" for this website, "Kalauao", at http://kalauao.betterperson.net/. This document is subject to change, with formal announcements on the home page of the website. Changes to this document will take affect immediately after being posted.
System Privacy
Kalauao uses Bravenet tracking stats, which automatically detect your system (ie Mac OS, Windows XP, Linux, etc.), your browser (Opera, Netscape, IE, etc.), the time of your visit, your screen resolution, and other information that may be of use to the webmaster. In no case does the webmaster learn any information that would make the user identifiable, including names, IP addresses, or phone numbers. In the case that you submit information to the guestbook or by e-mail, the only information obtained will be the information that you type in the fields (limited to your comments, name, web address, and e-mail).
In NO CASE will the webmaster share the viewer's personal information, because we don't collect any of it. In rare cases we might share information from the guestbook, and the combined information gathered from Bravenet statistics (screen resolution, browser, etc.).
Notes on the use of photographs on the site: If you wish not to allow us to use your photographs on this website, please contact me and I'll remove it as soon as I am able to. These albums are © 1998-2006 by Jordon Higa and associated authors. Any use of this pictures will be governed by the photo use policy, which can be read at Pictures Terms of Use page.
Kalauao is not listed in any web directories, and though some of our pages are included in web searches, this circumstance is out of our control. However, please DO NOT LIST THIS SITE IN A SEARCH ENGINE (like Google) OR WEB DIRECTORY (like Yahoo!) OF ANY SORT. This is the personal wish of the webmaster, and if a link to this site is found in any web directory, we will request for it to be deleted.
