Projects

Here are a list of things I am currently working on.

Current Projects - Kewlies Communications

The following projects are, in one way or another, associated with Kewlies Communications, my personal business.

‘Aiea Highlife

‘Aiea Highlife the name of two pieces of software, both of which aim to put ‘Aiea High School pride on the computer screen of every AHS alumna, teacher, family, and friend. The first piece of software is a Mozilla Firefox extension that rebrands Firefox in ‘Aiea branding. The second piece of software is a full internet application suite, including a browser, HTML editor, and mail client, all branded with the ‘Aiea "A."

‘Aiea Highlife can be downloaded at the ‘Aiea Highlife web page.

Kewlies Education Services

A pilot service by Kewlies Communications to provide an online web site service for high school classrooms. It includes web site tools for the distribution of learning aids and other media. The service is currently in use at a high school in the Hawai‘i DOE's Central District. This project evolved from the original Kewlies Alison project (described below).

Kristine Krystal

The revival of an old favorite; Kewlies Communications is currently working to revive the Kristine Krystal browser, in the form of a Firefox extension. Stay tuned to the Kristine Krystal web page for more updates.

Current Volunteer Projects

‘Aiea Oral History

A project done in coordination with the ‘Aiea Community Association to document the history of the ‘Aiea community through oral history.

AIS: Blazing A Future

A project in coordination with a former ‘Aiea Intermediate School English teacher that aims to publish the writings of generations of ‘Aiea Intermediate School students. The writings concern various things, but deal mainly with how these former students view their futures.

Abandoned Projects, Kewlies Communications

Nicole Tuyay ThinkPad

An regionalization of Nullsoft's Sex.

Kewlies Alison/Kewlies Ellen

Collectively called "The Kewlies Education Suite," these two projects were supposed to provide public school instructors with a set of open source software and template tools that would give them the ability to integrate various internet technologies into the classroom in a easy and convenient way. Kewlies Ellen was to be aimed at elementary school markets, while Kewlies Alison was to be aimed at secondary school markets. Kewlies Ellen was eventually abandoned when we realized that the market for this software was limited. However, Kewlies Alison eventually evolved into the Kewlies Education Service, which is currently doing a test run for a client at a Central District high school.
